Northern Dynasty Announces Plaintiffs Appeal of US Class Action Lawsuit Dismissal

March 22, 2019 – Northern Dynasty Minerals Ltd. (TSX: NDM; NYSE American: NAK) ("Northern Dynasty" or the "Company") announces that plaintiffs have filed a notice of appeal regarding the order issued by the United States District Court for the Central District of California dismissing their purported securities class action noted in the Company’s news release dated February 22, 2019. An appeal is expected to be filed with the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in the next 40 days. The Company intends to continue defending itself vigorously in this action.
